On 26 & 27 March 2010, the European Composers Forum took part in the ARS NOVA platform meeting co-hosted by the European Festivals Association (EFA) and the European Conference of Promoters of New Musis (ECPNM). ARS NOVA is a platform that brings together festival directors, composers and ensembles active in the field of contemporary music to discuss and initiate co-operation and co-productions in future new music projects.

This year, more than 3o participants came together at the European House for Culture, at the Flagey in Brussels, to exchange ideas, experiences and thoughts. In connection with the ARS NOVA platform meeting, the parallel Ars Musica Festival presented dynamic, interesting concerts.

A follow-up on the outcomes is to be published soon: the 2010 ARS NOVA meeting proved to be an inspiring platform in the spirit of “opening doors” to new artistic forms, new performers, new audiences, unusual venues, unknown cultures, new points of view, new approaches to arts and the world!

ECF presented their latest project, ECCO - The European Contemporary Composers Orchestra, in Brussels on ARS NOVA to the festivals and potential partners.
